Upgrading the cracked front hood vent hoses on an RXP
All four vent hoses on both my 2006 RXPs were showing serious signs of wear, and the dealer wanted $20 EACH for replacements!
Also, they weren't "true" replacements at that, since they're now only available in black. So I figured since I was going to have to change the look anyway, I'd find something better.
I took one of the original hoses to a local irrigation supply store and matched it to some much sturdier and better looking rubberized hose for $2 per foot. $12 vs $80 for better looking AND lasting pieces? No brainer!
Here's the post on my blog detailing the upgrade:
And here are some pics from the project:

It really was a piece of cake. I was shocked when the dealer told me they wanted $80 for four pieces of plastic.

Another great suggestion! I'll add that option to my blog post.

Added that suggestion at the bottom of the blog post, and gave you credit, GunMan. Happy to add any other good suggestions, too.

I will make some pics to share with all of you
they sold it in 15' lenghts so I had no choice and got it
It looks very cool. The left over I can share with whoever needs it, just pay shipping
there is the site I purchased it from
at that price /$13.39 for 15'/ I think is a very good deal /less than $1 a foot/

Nice, TGM! Looks like you got Smooth-Bor hose, which is designed for commercial car wash vacuums. I bet it holds up a lot longer than the OEM pieces.
I found their brochure online -- looks like it comes in lots of colors, so we could get pretty creative! A nice option if you want to keep the stock grey look, and plenty of other options if you want to go wild.
Would love to see a pic of your install!
