96 Sea Doo XP Can someone tell me which fuse I am looking at?
Just picked up a cheap 96 XP for a extra ski. Checked it out and it started right up and is holding around 148-150 in each cylinder so not to bad of a deal. Problem is when I was going through doing some routine checks I noticed inside the black mpem box that one of the fuses is missing. I took a pic to show which one is missing. It has no fuse in it so I decided to add one to see what would happen. I put a 15 amp in and it blew as soon as I tried to start it. I went ahead and unhooked the 2 wire connections inside the VTS box to see if that made a difference but it still blew. What am I missing here? Don't know if they have been riding it with no fuse in there but ?????? Thanks for the help guys.

I believe that powers the trim module. All you unhooked was the trim motor. Find the other wires that power the module (I think they are right above that rear box) and unhook them then try another fuse. I bet it won't blow.

One is for the trim and one is in the line that powers the mpem in the front vox. If it starts, then the one from the vts is gone. If it doesn't turns over its the mpem.
