    Injector oil question

I have a couple of 2002 jet skis. One is a kawasaki stx 1100 di and the other is a polaris freedom 700. My question is if I can use the same injector oil for both? I want to use synthetic for them and eventually want to switch to pre-mix but for now I really do not want to run any risk of burning them up. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Why would you want to pre-mix the Polaris? Perhaps the most common problem with PWCs is plugged up carbs. If you're pre-mixing, guess what--you're running lean and not getting oil! Worst of both worlds.

I HATE premix. People do it all the time. For what reason? I think you'd have a better chance of forgetting to premix the gas than your oil pump going bad

Not only that, its a huge waste of oil and money. The Polaris Oil pumps don't fail.

I presume Polaris uses the Mikuni oil pumps. They're the most reliable part of the boat, they don't fail. If anything fails, it's the hoses.

The oil pumps do corrode pretty bad sometimes and the mounting point for the cable rots off the carb but as long as you don't let the pump rot away, you'll be fine. There's a failsafe for a broken cable it's just going to put too much oil in and smoke more

I suppose that's possible in salt water, but unlikely if you clean and oil everything after each outing.

Yes Polaris uses the Mikuni pumps. Not to mention, the OEM hoses are very good.

What oil are you running in the Polaris. I have another post up on this and am having a difficult time finding what to use. I have a virage tx 1200. Can I use any tcw-3. I saw the citgo sea and snow sticky but wasn't sure what everyone else is running. Thanks
