97 sp 580 Hull with a 720 motor parts help
Hey guys I just recently purchased what I thought was a 97 xp with the 720 motor... but I was wrong. It turns out I have a sp 580 hull that has a 720 motor in it. The ski has no intake grate and from my understanding I need to buy a intake grate for a sp580 hull and I also have some play in the drive line so I need to purchase a new prop and drive shaft. Now here is where I need help I know some parts can cross reference and work from other skis but I have no idea what other models will work for my application. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I found someone that has some xp parts for sale but after doing some research I have no solid answers and I want to be positive before I buy them. Thanks

I dunno how you could think you're buying a 97 xp and end up with some hack job. The 97 XP is a very distinctive looking ski.
in order to help, two things are needed...
the last couple of digits of the hull number
there might be a 4 digit number on a sticker on the back of the hull..that would be helpful also.
the numbers off the identification plate on the engine itself
a couple of pictures of the ski
the grate will be a no brainer ..doesn't matter what engine is in there.
driveline issues will be a little more complex
driveshafts are not inexpensive...neither are props for that matter..what do you need to have them replaced?..did this ski see zero maintenance? are the splines stripped out?
