RXT ceramic washer problems from down under

    Hi

My cousin has it and it has just failed and caused a bit of damage and just two months out of warranty (2 months)

A question why do they seen to have a slip clutch in the drive to the supercharger in the first place?

The Agents in Western Australia told us nothing about the problem it was just in for a service @ 85 hrs and he got the bad news.

They would put the same ceramic washers back in but offered to put steel ones in for $200 aust extra

    Cheer's

    Welcome to the forum!

Looks like a beautiful riding area you have down there.

The slip clutch is necessary because without it either the shaft or gear would break causing massive destruction to both your supercharger and engine.

Install the metal clutch washers and be done with it!

How bad was the damage, and what were the estimated repair costs?
