Where to buy a reman GP1300R motor

Where is the best place and reasonable to purchase a rebuilt 04 GP1300R motor? I just picked up this ski with a blown motor. Would build it myself but this engine is just f**ked! Cracked case, 2 sleeves broken, and the domes of the head have seen better days to say the least. The ski only had 23hrs on it and the hull is spotless. Just looking to have a reliable decent ski out of this. Thanks

If the cases are damaged on any of the mating surfaces most re-builders will not try to repair them.

Here is a list of core charges from SBT if your parts are considered not acceptable for a normal rebuild.

1300 PV Cases $800, Cylinders$595 ea., Crankshaft $300, Cylinder head $250, Power Valves $120. ea

Probably the best thing to do is shop for a complete engine from a crashed ski or from someone doing a conversion.

    Good Luck with your project.

Send the useable pieces to WF0 in Houston. Richard will help you to get the most out of this engine and still perform reliably. This is a completly "developed" engine platform, and Richard knows all of the tricks. Besides that, he probably has used components that will help to keep the price down. Give him a call or email him.

Luckily that mating surfaces on the cases are not damaged. I did not split the cases but there is a crack in the side of the top case. If this is the case, I may just part the ski or sell as a whole.

Now if I decide to part the entire ski is there any demand for a core motor which is what I would consider the one that I have here? The crank and 1 cylinder are the only salvageable parts of the motor. Possibly the cases, but I haven't taken a close look at the crack to tell the extent and if I want to Tig it, otherwise the other 2 cyl need sleeves and the head is just shot.
