    Pump Wedge help.

Would a 2 degree pump wedge and the stock ride plate help me with top speed? I ride in generally calm water.

That is the word. Good for 1.5-2 mph. I am sure there are a few tweeks that will go with that for best results or at least I would do some.

I didn't like my 1' wedge bud. Took away from handling and I had the r/d ride plate as well. Assuming u have an ultra?

A wedge will give you a little more top end BUT you will definitely notice this in the skis handling characteristics, especially if your intentions are to race CC. You have to ask yourself is it worth it?

Cant say there is a noticeable difference with the wedge in. Trimmed nose down will still take the hulk to hang on in a turn. I love the wedge in all conditions.

since the trim goes up 8 degrees and down 8 degrees (on the 300x anyway) when putting in the 2 degree wedge would you just compensate for it by trimming down once or twice to make it ride like it would in neutral without the wedge? Or would the ride still be slightly different?

    Thanks

Even though I hit top speeds with a 2* wedge of 75.5-75.9 mph the hook up was not as good and being as stable as the ULTRA is meant for .....that ''vaccum" effect and hook up recovery time is better without it..

But whats worse was the holeshot...no matter what position on the trim from an idle start the ski bounced for a moment before get hooked up on the water...took the wedge out, problems gone

maybe the 1* degree with a less pump angle has less effect.....
