    08 Kawasaki Ultra 250x Running Poorly

    I have an 08 250x, that i just completely rebuilt from top to bottom. I just hit my 15 hour mark and it started to act up. Upon heavy acceleration the ski goes nowhere, until i let off to about a quarter throttle it starts to accelerate slowly. It hits about 45 mph tops before it bogs. Also with that it makes a decently loud humming/hollow air sound at certain rpms. The belt is tight, i just rebuilt the supercharger (im hoping that isnt it), the horn is solid, im actually at a loss. The only mod i have so far is the 9.5:1 Riva racing pistons. Hopefully one of you know what is up

    You checked all your boost clamps didnt you and I mean a real look and check

    Yep, everything is really tight from the airbox to the manifold

    1. the fact you say it has an air sound points to boost leak, 2. you rebuilt the s/c there not rebuildable so it could be rooted. 3. are you sure its not a combination of cavitation with the other issues?

    Right ik, thats what is boggling me! I do not see any leaks or loose fitting at all, but i def will look again. Otherwise, the superchargers are actually rebuildable to a degree with the right set of tools. I did vacuum test it and load tested it before i installed it and it was up to manufacturer spec, but that doesnt mean it cannot fail. I have a new solas impeller with the 2013 shaft and bearings, and the tolerance was well within spec when i installed it. The only thing i can think of is water somehow getting in the pump housing, through the rubber gasket the seals the pump to housing (I powder-coated almost all pump components, so the OD on the housing is slightly larger). But i will absolutely check that! What is FP?

    I did not physically check the pressure, but assume it is ok if it the ski still runs. I pulled the quick disconnect, and fuel was flowing fairly quickly. What do you think, should i get a gauge and measure it?
