Why my 2007 RXT runs 80 MPH plus
I posted similar information several days ago on another thread. It was on page seven and the thread died several posts later so I thought I would let those interested on how my 2007 RXT runs consistantly over 80 MPH. First I need to give credit where credit is due. Water4fire (Austin) is very instrutmental in the performance of this ski. His knowledge and long time expereance helped bring this project to where it is. Ok--here we go. Riva rear air kit for a RXP--Riva ECU--Riva grate--removed rensanator--2.5 degree wedge--$89.00 E-Bay intercooler with over 100 hours use--bleed line for intercooler exiting where battery vent used to be--installed Gel battery--untouched 15/22 with 83mm venturi--OPAS still on the boat--I like the low speed handling with the training wheels--$14.00 Mercury outboard 151 degree thromastat--29 cam retarded--.005 overbore with CP pistons--bored throttle body. Now what really woke up the boat is porting and polishing of the head by Cris (slow91-Eastside Powersports, South Windsor, Connecticut.) This alone is worth 250 to 300 RPM. He also decked the block and trued the head. Bosh 48 lb injectors with Walbro pump--RRFR with 11.9 on the low end and 12.2 on top.
Stock untouched ride plate with holes filled--manifold extension between head and exhaust manifold--2008 X-boat water box--eight inch long hose between exhaust manifold and water box--no speed gain-just easy SC removal--APR bolts & studs--Rude SC with X-boat oiling system and Viton seal. 2008 RXP_X steering system (no speed advantage--just looks cool) Here is what really suprised me--in the south Texas heat--95 to 100 degrees--81.2 at 8600 RPM. Austin feels we can eak out a little more. I can't wait untill the temps are in the 70s with a 81 ring. Yeee ha.

Sounds like a lot of hard work and $$$$ went into it.
Glad your happy riding it and not stuck in the garage tuning it.

I have talked to Austin about the "Sundance exhaust mod" on his ski. Should be like that from the factory. Good information, thanks for the post.
