Broken Hose Nipple on Head?? Help
(RXP, 2004) So my question is has anyone ever replaced the hose nipple on the head (right above the temp sensor)? Mine got sheared off and I was able to with a combination of drilling and tapping with a flat edge get that brass plug out. In the process some of the threads for the hole get messed up. Anyone know the correct size/thread pitch of that hole? I don't have the old hose nipple as it was crumbled into pieces and the new one is not here yet. I am wanting to make sure I have the correct tap for this job. Anyone??

Got get you a 1/8 x 27 npt tap and a 1/8 npt by 5 1/16 barb fitting you should be good. 11/32 drill bit should do the job.

That's why I put him where it would be easy if he caddied the hole better to drill it to next size up fractional and locally get a nipple so he can ride and safely. If he had to buy anyway IMO
