lake scum on hull.. hull wash?

ive got some lake scum on my hull, from previous owner neglect.. seems like i can get it off with scrub towels, but i dont want to scratch it up.. my pressure washer wont take it off..

CLR It? or what works good on cleanup like this?

seems if i can get this off, the gelcoat underneath is fine.. I just dont want to hit it with to harsh of stuff.

I dilute CLR and wash the ski with it every so often. Gets all the nasty lake fallout off then I rewax. Works great.

Toilet bowl cleaner. Never tried it on the wave runners but have used it several times on my boat hull. Make sure and cover your trailer.

The ingredient in the toilet cleaner is hydrochloric acid that makes it work. Cant remember which brand uses it. I've also used it on boat hulls

and they have come up great.
Yes, make sure you keep it away from you trailer!

It will turn anything galvanized or zinc coated, black.

+1 on the hydrochloric acid. Works great, but you have to be careful with it and wear gloves. It's the main ingredient in a lot of the heavy duty boat hull cleaners.

take a garden sprayer and squirt a bottle of lysol tb cleaner in it. then dump a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in it. fill with water slowly to the top. pump up sprayer and spray the ski down. grab a beer or three and drink them. take hose and rinse off. works like a fricken charm
