The wedge will never go back on my ski!!!

All summer long I have been running a 2 deg. wedge on my ski.

This morning i found out what i was missing.

The difference in holeshot and acceleration is SHOCKING!!!

I launched this morning with the wedge and went for a ride. Best top speed with 3/4 tank of fuel was 77.4

I decided to head to the landing and pull the wedge off to see what would happen. I couldn't believe the difference in the holeshot and accel. I was still able to run 77.0 without it. The holeshot and accel more than make up for that .4 My RPM's dropped without the wedge to 8300-8350 so i imagine with a little tweak i'll get my R's up to 8400 and get my .4 mph back

Handling is much improved as well.

I'm a very happy camper this morning

Would you suggest a wedge or not with the RXT/GTX. I had this in mind for the new ski.

Or do you think this would only affect the RXP, or just your setup???

You know, i think it's just more my setup. I also have my hook completely removed out the back of my hull so im sure that has something to do with it as well.

Ideally, if you run a wedge you would want a pump cone 1/2" longer to make up for the distance you lose when using the wedge.

Now what about the COOL kind of wedge?

The kind that aims DOWN and improves handling and holeshot.
