    Question can i trim crimped end spark plug wires?

    my spark plug wire end's are crimped on there not the screw in type, can I still un-crimp them and cut and re-crimp, or just buy new wires? 99 sltx thanks

    I'd go buy the srew-in ends off ebay or a vendor if it were me.

    ah ok I was wondering if I could just buy new ends, so I just need new screw in spark plug ends there all universal ? thx

    No, you can not use the screw on boots with the crimp on type wires. 2 completely different plug wires designs.

    If you are having a problem with the wire end-you can remove the crimp,strip the wire back to expose the inner lead,that lead needs to be folded over the outside of wire to make contact with crimp terminal.

    Wow good info , I was just gonna do this as a pre- fix , should I not even mess with em , or should I un-crimp them and cut back ?

    So the SLTX use a different wire style than the fuji? I will try to remember that. Sorry about the misleading info 1999-SLTX

    If you do not have a problem, leave them alone.

    Starting in 99, Polaris used a plug wire more like a car plug wire.
    The 96-98 domestic engine used the older/Fuji style plug wires with screw on resister plug boots.
