where did you guys drop in? Also do you have to be a resident? Want to drop in near port washington somewhere so i can do a city run. Found a state ramp in glencove but looking for something closer.

There are a few ramps near me, some you have to be a resident but there is no guard or booth so its fair game, such as the Glenn cove ramp, there is the bayside marina right on the cross island pky that is public and free BUT there is no hose to washdown the ski and you can't park your car and trailer there, you have to park it all the way down out of the marina, or launch and park down at fort Totten (1/2 mile walk) or get a ride back to the marina which I may be able to have my girlfriend do if a few people want to go out from there.

I hear ya, im fortunate to live 3 houses down from the ramp or I would be in the same boat. my ramp is only good for 4 hours a day, I need a good high tide to even get in and out

Hey guys, doing some trolling tonight and came across your thread. I probably won't give you any information you didn't already have but just in case:
LI Boat Ramp Info: http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/fish_mari...iboatramps.pdf (I'm guessing it's pre-Sandy...)
