    Are these 951 cases okay to use?

    Cases off a 951 LRV. Cylinder skirts broke off. Head is surprisingly fine. Small bits as you see missing from one cylinder intake. The reed stops cover most this area when installed. Question is are the cases okay to use? Any issues? Motor only had 130 hrs. I have a new top end on order so I hope you experts agree these are okay to use as is? Of course the carbs will be gone through. I don't plan on splitting the cases but have flushed the bottom end with brake fluid and used high pressure air to get the debris out. Crank seems tight and spins smooth. Please chime in with your thoughts.

    im very cautious, and im not an expert.. the case might be able to be cleaned up and reused, but with my limited opinion, I would rebuild the entire lower end.
    seems to me that I would be concerned about what made the case break like that.

    not busting the cases is likely the biggest mistake you could possibly make..with the exception of dating your girlfriends mom.

    Ok, I'll split them and clean em up nice, are the cases usable as is or do they need to be welded up? That the question here.

    My cases look like that in my race 951. I would inspect everything 100% before bolting them back together.
