Question Tapping the exhaust manifold, hit the water jacket, now what?

Ok the title pretty much says it all! I hit the water jacket by the other water tap, now what? Throw it out and start over?

I've got a clean 06 manifold if you want to try again.

With a drill, no seriously I think my starting measuring point was just a few fractions of a inch off, but it was enough to open it up.

Look at these pictures of a cross section of an 06 mainifold,
    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...light=manifold

you have to drill a 15mm bit all the way down, then drill with the bigger bit only down enough for the threads on the oxy sensor, you will see by this cross section picture that the wall is thicker up top where the threads are and real thin at the bottom, no need to put threads all the way down,

+1 Thats the best way to do it. Did my 07 the "old" way and got lucky. skigolfnut's way is pretty bullet proof.

That's way easier said than actually being done!

All pre-08 manifolds are gonna be hit or miss.... even if drilled perfectly centered.

Don't try to tig it. Even getting in the hole is a bitch and then it's cast crap. If the hole is tiny use JB-Weld industrial or original. It's sitting on a water jacket and will be fine. Just give it time to setup. Been riding like that all season. While it's off put a torque plate in there
