Thanks for the tons of information

Guys I bought a blown 2002 gtx this winter and started right away on it.
I found #2 piston gone completely but the rod and pin still in place. The main mass of the piston had been shoved out of the lower block. Old fuel and detonation ate it up.
I found a long block in Ca. and put it right in..Guess what...no start.. got it to go when i changed the ign wires around...
Thats when i found the forum and started to read
Took it back apart and used the old crank to position the wheel in what i thought was the exact position.
It ran ok but backfired and died sometimes under light load. Ran good then nailed..
I read the sticky again and again then noticed my old crank gear had slipped too.
After a new wheel and using a degree wheel printed off the internet i tried again and Success.

Thanks to all ..Now I read it everyday and enjoy the good natured jabs amongst friends

Now if someone would have told me that seadoo grips bolt on I wouldn't have spent all that time cutting to put on a set of Oury's
