Getting more performance out of a GTI 130

Hey guys, just recently got my first ski. Purchased a 2012 gti 130 new from Xtreme Machines out in Milstone, NJ.

I am looking to get a little more performance out of this ski even if it may be little. I have read plenty of threads and yes I know its not a performance ski, but being 19 and paying for it myself as well as a car, its all I can afford at the moment.

I am going to order the R&D intake, but have also read about reflashing the ECU to raise the rev limiter. How can I do that? I read about using the Vtech tuner and purchasing a tuner credit, but is there any other way to do that other than spending the $900 for the tuner and credit? Also are there any exhaust mods I can do for this ski? Such as deleting the muffler/resonator?

Also I was reading about "filling the plate holes". What exactly is that and how can that be done? So far I hit 55mph on the ski (from dash reading) and I'd like to get a little more out of it.

Any info would be great ! T

    Phil

sell that rental ski and buy a real ski!
    $1000 for 5mph ...lol
I bet your only doing 50mph on gps
a SC ski does almost 70mph out of the box
buy used and you can save big money
your going to need to get far away from NJ to find a good used ski after that hurricane
best deals on used skis are in the fall (after labor day )
    welcome to the GH Phil

Not ALL of New Jersey was affected. Down here in the southern half the eye past over and it wasn't that bad.
I would just ride the thing till ur ready to upgrade. My buddy bought a 2013 GTI 130. Nice ride and good on gas.

Shame on you! I mean, shame on you for picking on ME!!! Just because DaWife's ski is a good 5mph faster than mine and they're twins.

If it was me I'd be probably 7-10mph behind.
