    Pro 785 Driveshaft

Here are some pics of my driveshaft in the impeller(impeller about 4 months old from randy) I see the splines....I remember before i didnt see the splines... Could there be someting wrong?

reason i ask is that i heard 2 VERY LOUD clangs..while i was jumpin waves last week...it happened twice...and never happened since..and it did sound like the pump area........ This just looks like its sticking out of the impeller to far....... what do you guys think??

Not sure, did you put in a new set of rubber driveshaft bumpers?

ya there this coupler that made of rubber conects your drive shaft 2 your motor ,

disalingment from moveing the pump and high reving it when you hit that wave , is prolly wat made the sound , becuase if it was your prop you would known becuase that **** is spinin 5 grand , it would sound like a grinder before anything

#7 in the picture. I would recomend them. They keep the driv shaft from sliding back and forth.

thanks guys.......arent those bumpers on the boat stock? ..If so ..i would guess there worn out?...

also i let off when the boat leaves the water..
and also i never moved the engine when i put in the prop..i just pulled the 4 bolts out..and slid the pump and spacer off..and installed the prop..so i cant see how it would be out of alignment..??

It looks like you maybe missing/worn out the driveshaft bumpers. I will look tomorrow at one of my skies. I think you should remove the driveshaft and inspect for the bumpers and overall condition.

I pulled the pump out just now..and those splines you see arent the main set of splines...behind that there is an O-ring THEN the main splines goin into the prop..so nothing was wrong..... weird.....oh well ..thanks beerdart...ill just ride it till something flys out i guess lol.
