    oil pump?

installing a new engine in my 98 gtx need advice on oil pump keep it? or block it off? if I keep it how do I make sure it is working right and what steps do I need to take to make sure air is out. I have been researching for a bit and keep seeing people talk about marks on the pump that denote idle and WOT but I have not found the marks going back with engine on Sat and need help thanks

if you have a way to turn the pump ~2000 rpms, then you can test it for volume on the bench..

ive heard, (but have limited specific experience), that if its pumping, its probably ok. a shop manual should give you the procedure for bleeding and priming. its pretty simple really..

On 2 strokes its always safest to premix.

That way your sure its getting the proper oil.
