1985 Kawasaki JS550 cooling system clog?
I have a 1985 JS550 that I just purchased. It started great and ran great. The water coming out of the exhaust didnt look to be enough to cool the engine properly so I took the ski out to flush it. When I flush per the owners manual (no flush kit installed) there is back pressure after shutting off the hose, waiting, and then shutting off the jet ski. Water comes back out of where the garden hose was attached with pretty substantial pressure. I am wondering if that is what is supposed to happen or I should start looking for a clog in the cooling system.
Any help would be great! Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is not how I am supposed to ask questions...I am new to the forum thing!!
