Found this in with the "Tools" on my 2000 Virage....

I found this in the tool pouch on my 2000 Virage... Does anyone have any idea what it does? Where it goes? Why it exists? What OS does it run?

That is a connection for flushing your engine. One end should go on your garden hose and the other clicks into a fitting on your engine.

You sir have just had your Polaris answer-authority card revoked if you didn't know what that was OP - nice find! $10-$20 part there, and very handy

I can see where it connects... And I understand that one end connects to a hose and the other to the water rail(?) on the engine... but how does one use said instrument?

    I carry no card.

Press the button on top, insert fitting one engine into the hose, release button.

Yessir! That simple. Like someone said earlier, these flushing fittings are quite nice and make things nice and easy.
