    Electrical Problem 2004 Aquatrax F12x

My Honda keeps dying for no apparent reason. This unit experienced a significant amount of fresh water in the hull and has been used on saltwater at one time evident by iron corrosion on connects. This has not been an issue for performance in the past couple of season. The battery light flashes and the red warning indicator comes on, then the engine dies. Subsequent attempts to start the motor sometimes work and sometimes it doesn't. There is no water in the oil and I don't believe there is water in the fuel. Hoses, etc. appear in good condition. In inspections, there is no visually evident problem without tearing all of the body parts off and really getting into the unit.

I have noticed that when the battery is connected to both terminals, I can hear a continuous "whirring" noise - similar to a fuel pump on cars, but it just continues "humming/whirring", whether unit is energized or not. I believe this is draining the battery, I'm no mechanic but I am prepared to do an electrical inspection. Has anyone had a similar experience, rectifier? Connection? Are there any connections in the bottom of the hull subject to corrosion if full of water?

    Thanks, any input welcome.

Thank you all for your tips, the main relay was out. I replaced it and she's ready to get wet.

I have a spare relay I keep with me since I know I'll need it again one day.
