    Yamaha VX or Yamaha VXS?

Ok so I've narrowed down which models I'm interested in. I'm gonna talk to some dealers soon about pricing. Basically from what I've researched, I would be paying around $2000 more for the vxs.

i was intially interested in the vx because of the reliability, but when I read the top speed is 50 I feel like I would be left wanting more after I rode it a few times.

My most important thing with these is reliability and I've read both of these machines are very reliable. So what I'm asking is if the vxs is really worth the extra money or should I save my money and go with a vx model?

    Thanks!

I ride with 2 of my friends, both have vxr's, about 70 hrs on each. No problems and NO complaints. VX is good for rentals at about the speed you're talking about. My friends are seeing 66-68 on theirs with bolt on's.

If you are already asking, get the R or S

Not saying anything bad about the VX line, they're great lil machine. I owned a 2011 VX Deluxe but soon wanted more. Spend the extra money. You won't regret it.

Yes spend the money and you will never look back. Very fun and powerful normally aspirated ski.

If u can find a leftover fz/fx and a few more $ go for it. If not the vxs/r is a good fun ski with little maintenance

Thank you everyone! I have decided go spend the extra money. I actually found a 2011 vxr with low hours on Craigslist. I wasn't gonna buy used but this one has 2 and a half years left of warranty so I don't have to worry.

I would but I just don't have the money and dont want to deal with a supercharger when the vxr is just as powerful.

Oh yes I am. Believe me after everything I went though buying used last time, I'm making sure this one runs perfect like he said, before I buy.

Since you have a 2012 vxs, when I'm test riding it and looking at it, is there anything I should look for specifically? Cause I really don't want to get screwed over.
