No clue how long it's been broken- have I / will I do damage running the ski with this broken?

This boot doesnt rotate correct? Can I just throw a regular band clamp on it and forget about it?

That clamp seals oil from leaking around the pto bearing. Throw a new clamp on it, check your oil level..... and rock on!

The boot doesn't rotate, or shouldn't. Clamp 44 holds it in place.

That clamp holds the bearing and seal in place on the drive shaft and as Bigdaddy said it also keeps oil from pouring out of the engine.

Replace it with the same Oetiker clamp, do NOT use a standard worm clamp. It needs the correct tension to work properly. I would NOT run the ski until it is replaced, if that is what your asking.

^^^ disagree I replaced mine with a ss worm gear clamp and zero issues. The worm gear clamp will work just great

without the clamp oil will leak out when engine is on

Order the right clamp..... and be done with it! It can be installed without pulling the drive shaft.

If your not willing spend the money to buy the proper parts - tools..... maybe you shouldn't be working on your ski

Will this tool work with the factory clamp? http://www.amazon.com/Ideal-Tridon-6...ywords=oetiker

I need to pull the charger to get in there right? Do I need to pull the hose that goes to the intake from the sc and replace those clamps too???

Like I said the .25 cent ss worm gear is working great here! Maybe its magical!
So are the factory 2004 valves that break as well... At 8300 Rpm's

Yes those pliers will work and yes charger needs to be pulled
