Checking your compression is a good start; but low compression alone isn't necessarily a gasket. Do you have water/antifreeze in your oil or anything like that? Why are you suspicious?

There is no need for any tool. Go for a few WOT runs, if water is coming out from your overflow tube on the coolant bottle, your head gasket is toast!

Compression test will tell you nothing and most likely leak down will also show nothing, 100psi into the cylinders is nothing compared to the pressures reached during combustion.

not jacking the thread but i have a similar question, had the ski on the hose then took it off ( dont ask y) then back on and a few seconds later water started flowing with the exjaust, i removed the j pipe to confirm, is the head gasket done?

there are no tools designed to test head gaskets. As monaroman stated, WOT runs will cause combustion air into your coolant causing aeration which will spit your coolant out of the overfolw. The only thing I can think of is block leak (I believe that is what it is called). It tests for combustion gasses excaping out of your overflow cap.

    that is not correct.

you need to do two things to check for this issue

to check for a head gasket to cooling system leak you can pressurize the cooling system......that's the cheaper tool " radiator pressure tester" gotta find one that fits the pressure cap for the seadoo

.....to check for a combustion chamber to crankcase leak you need a leakdown tester ( a bit more expensive)

but having your overflow tank bubbling is a pretty clear sign you've got a bad headgasket( or worse). No tools needed for that.

water in the exhaust is normal keeps the exhaust from melting
exhaust in the antifreeze is a blown gasket
