Has anyone been 80mph with stock boost level?
Just as the title says. Is it possible to hit 80 with the stock supercharger wheel? I know it's easier to just buy a wheel and spoof 80mph but I like the challenge of doing ALL the little things to squeeze every last ounce of hp out of it at the stock wheel. Once that is done then I'll put the bigger wheel in it.
So far I'm basically stage 1 with a R&D Race intercooler and R3. I just went 75.5 this weekend and I still have a stock prop and a stock plate. I'm gonna do a Jims Vx plate. Hopefully that will get me 77. I was thinking maybe a water cooled R&D housing after that.
Would that and a prop get me 80?
I went 8300 rpms this weekend. I wanna turn it 8500.

R3, Fizzle intercooler, VX plate, R&D grate, air intake, R&D water cooled housing, FF exhaust and Riva 13/22R prop turning 84-8500 RPM

Nice. I think getting heat out of these boats is the trick. After riding mine an hour this weekend I took the seat off and I was really surprised how hot it was. I think I'm going to get the intake manifold spacer that disipates heat too. I had them on a car one time and they made a big difference as far as keeping heat out of the intake manifold.

bolt ons will get you real close but it may not be real consistent and how often you are around those speeds will depend alot on conditions.to be right at 80 all day any water any day a year with stock wheel youd probably need to look into alternative fuels, valvetrain mods or run a more aggressive tune
