Impossible to find 06 Speedster ride plate - can anyone help?

    Hey guys,

I have a badly cracked starboard (right side) ride plate on my 2006 Seadoo Speedster 200 SCIC Edition 1. Can't get a definitive answer from either BRP or my dealer. After rebuilding a motor and having the boat in the water for only one week this year I would really like to get the boat back in the water asap. Is it possible to find this used, new anywhere in the country? Is the ride plate material even weldable? Is it aluminum or is it white metal?

    Here is the part number

204120300 superseded to 204120324 Ride Plate

Ok I just found out that there is an alternate ride plate that can be used but you have to change out the intake grate... So this would eliminate the weed removal grate/ system? Not sure I want to go that route only because I would have to change over the port side plate and grate to make both sides the same.

    271001670 ride plate $310
    271001672 grate $178

It is aluminum you can take it to a welding shop and it can be gig welded
