    2004 RXP Instrument Cluster Fail

Just checking if anyone had issues with the instrument panel cluster failure for the 4Tecs. I did the Catalina race a couple of weeks ago and the instrument gauges quit working on the way back from Catalina Island (In the middle of the frickin channel). My boat and I took a pounding, and then the instruments started cutting in and out, but the motor was still running. When I finished and did the fresh water rinse, the motor would startup, but no instruments. I checked all connections and fuses and everything checks out. I checked power and ground to the instrument cluster and they are good.

When I got home, did more cleaning and compress air cleaning on the cluster (as much as I can) and still no dice.

Any thoughts? Really not looking into dropping down up to 6 bills for a new instrument cluster.

You're a trooper. Check all the connectors; especially the one on the back of the cluster. Could be worst I melted three pistons and snapped a valve out there.

    I bet its a connection that's loose..
Banging usually won't cause a guage failure.
Undo and rehook your connections and clean the electrical connections.
It would suck to buy guages and figure out they weren't bad.

No seadoo will not take the new guages back if you buy some.

I have a 2007 rxp that gauge or LCD in cluster started to disappear. Now speed, tach, hours are not visible. Gas and trim still showing at the moment. The cluster has shown no moisture or cracks in it. But does take some pounding from heavy surf.

    From what i

Yes , just found a ton water in guage today and maybe a few fishys,. Now I have to figure out how it got into the gauges. Seadoo just isn't made to handle the heavy surf of the gulf it seems.
