2002 Seadoo GTX-RFI - Rotary Valve Issue
I have a 2002 Seadoo GTX RFI. At 282 miles the engine seized. Turns out the front bearing on the crankshaft disintegrated. Had the crankshaft rebuilt as well as the rotary valve shaft and components replaced. Approximately 3 hours later pws went down again. Turns out rotary valve was not turning due to the rotary sprocket stripped out. Mechanic believes this was caused by an air pocket in the gravity fed oil line from oil tank. Sprocket replaced, engine cleaned out and I insured over the course of the next 3 hours that no air pockets reappeared in the oil line. Unit went down again with the same air depreciation due to rotary valve going out. PWC now has 289 hours and looking to have 3rd rotary valve sprocket replaced. Please help.
