    2005 185hp block vs 2006 215 block

    Can I use a 2005 185hp block for my 2006 parts?

07 Head, Crank, Oil pumps, 06 PTO, etc...

    Thanks

    Sure you can,
drill the 12mm hole in behind the counter balance shaft gear to help with crank case breathing and remove the oil jet on top of the block,

yup there is a thread on it somewhere. do it your self and faq area I think.

If you use the old crank you also need to drill a hole in the trigger wheel around the mag to get it right. Otherwise wont run.

the little pin is in different spots on the 05 and older vs 06 and newer.

I think they changed it because the moved the pickup sensor from 05 to 06

Yes, Don't mix and match different year crank, PTO, and triggers. Keep all together, and any block will do.

It could be done, but read my posts here :http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...148161&page=23

Just pull the oil restrictor out of the block for 06+ oiling, and be sure to use the 06' rocker shaft setup as well.

Rase Jase had it right, forget all the other nonsense posts. Just pull the restrictor and drill the 1/2" hole behind the counterbalancer gear and you will be good to go.
