Flange Adapter Tial BOV to HKS Flange, opinions?

I'm having a lot of fun getting the c-clip mounted onto the Riva cooler properly and while doing some research I came across this adapter. Seems like a good idea, instead of the effort and costs of cutting and welding the Riva I/C to accept a Tial in the future. Any recommendations? Thx.

Very interested. I'm about to pull the trigger on an intercooler and my Tial BOV and painful install are the only things making me hesitant about the Riva powercooler versus R&D.

Like FZSMonty said, it totally sucks installing the clip, if I had to do it again I would have ordered the BOV installed from Riva. If it wasn't so late in the season I would have sent out the I/C somewhere to get the Tial welded on, but I do like the quality of the Riva cooler, very sweet piece of work.

Kinda defeats the purpose of have a 50mm compared to the HKS BOV. Also won't the tial have fitment issues in the space between the cooler and the hull.

Hey badjoka, which IC do you have? Rivas Gen 1 is a big pain to get the BOV on, I actually broke one in the process. BUT gen-2 has arrived and I took me 10 minutes to ge it installed without a problem using same tools: Snap ring pliers and a wide flat head screw driver. I'm sure something was changed in the gen-2 design and it clipped in without much pain. Pressure tested it to 25psi and no leaks around ring or BOV popping off.

Any luck installing it? Make sure the snap ring... "Snaps" into place or it will pop off.

Im not sure about fitment, but if someone want to use a tial this is a cheap alternative. Cant go wrong for $40, but I think your correct in not getting the full benefit of a full 50 mm.

Good point. I'll probably just dissassemble the power cooler and TIG the flange on the intercooler inlet pipe and block off the HKS port. Of course at that point the R&D 18005 that mounts in the stock airbox location looks attractive.
