    Flyboard Review

i did a quick search and couldnt find much info on here about these and saw a few people had been asking.

I just recently had the privilege of buying a share in one of these things. so i got to try it out this week.

They are alot of fun. but need to be treated with respect.

the bad things to watch out for are....

you have no venturi bilge when operating so if your ski leaks you will need an electric bilge pump.

the rpm is quite varied so it seems ok on the ski. i did manage to air lock the hose at one point and my temperature climbed but i think as long as the hose has no kinks or air bubbles when first put in the water this problem doesn't occur. it happened to me when i pulled the ski out and put it back in.

as far as i can tell there is no risk of the hose going into the intake.

another potential problem is the removing and reinstalling of bolts on your pump housing will wear out your threads and eventually strip them. if you have the plastic housing you should get an aluminium one because that will break with time too. (i saw it on a ski that someone bought from a flyboard owner)

other than those things it seems like the bees knees. so much fun. just be careful until you get to know it.

oh and i run it on an 04 rxp its good with the extra power.

Dang, I'm jealous. I've been wanting to try one of those. Still too pricey for me. Hopefully they come down in price at some point. I can't imagine it costs $6100 for a hose and a board. I think if they were to substantially reduce the price, they could still make a profit and a lot more people would consider purchasing them.

    Very cool though.

I stand corrected about the price of the flyboard. $6100 seems like a bargain compared to 68,500... The Jet pack does come with a jet ski though. Still too pricey for me.
