    Anyone damage pistons?

I'm no stranger to forced induction. I've owned a B&M 144 supercharged '89 Firebird, and I currently own a Eaton M112 supercharged Ford Lightning, a single T76GTS turbocharged (homebuilt system) '95 Z28, and of course an RXP. In my FI adventures, I've managed to blow up roughly 6 engines, all piston failures. However, I have not seen anyone melt or break RXP pistons. I'm very leary about mod'ing my RXP for more boost (Riva 3" air intake and RR SC impeller) because of my past experience. My truck and my jet ski are totally stock and pretty reliable, but everything I mod seams to break.

All everyone talks about with the RXP is ceramic washer failures and the occasional valvetrain problem. Has anyone melted or broken pistons on a stock or mod'ed RXP?

    Mike

I have never had a problem with the stock pistons and i ran the crap out of them at 8800 RPM's all last summer with 16 psi of boost. I LOVE the stock RXP/RXT pistons. They are made by Mahle, same ones Porche uses

Greenhulk, me and a friend will probably be making a motorcycle trip down there. I'll be getting you to install ceramic washers and a RR impeller and I need to purchase both parts from you. Give me a guess on speed:

    Current: 67.7 mph
with trimmed reverse bucket and nose cone removed.

I'll be adding a Riva 3" air intake, RR impeller, Riva intake grate, and filling the ride plate holes. I'm hoping for 72 with these mod's. What do you think?

72 will be easy but you want the Riva rear air intake and a pump impeller too See you soon!
