    new guy to the seadoos

    Hey everyone just wanted to say what's up. This isn't my first ski but it is my first sea doo had a gp1200r in the past and just picked up a 2003 gtx 4 tec sc for me and the ol lady to have fun on but it took a crap after the first 1.5 hrs of riding it anyways lookin forward to learning a lot on here

    welcome. have the same one except in yellow. Have fun. how many hours and has the SC been rebuilt? gotta watch the bearing cages on these.

    PS> there are not ceramic bearings on ours so don't loose to much sleep like I did initially.

    Thanks pathfinder Sc was rebuilt 40hrs ago per the old owner has 300hrs on it but has a new ecu so it on displays 42hrs tho but the first day of taking it out I had catastophic failures after riding it for about 1.5 hrs ill post up a few pics today when I get a few free mins but needless to say need to get the motor rebuilt

    Lost compression in cyl 2 took the head off found a peice of the piston missing and the head was all nicked up seems to be from detonation

    damn, hopefully you got a decent price for the ski. are you going to find a 215 replacement or keep the 185?

    Just gonna keep it stock for now just put a better set of pistons in it ain't got the cash at the moment to go crazy with it I really wanna know exactly what caused this so it don't happen again

    I was I sent it down to a buddies shop to get looked at and fixed if possible and he said it can be fixed so I'm having him work some magic on it so far alls it needed was 4 intake valves the rest of the valves are ok I'm debating on just replacing them all
