Thread: Draining Oil?

    Draining Oil?

Going to do my First Jet Ski Oil Change in a few weeks and am wondering what everybody uses to suck the oil out?
Been looking at some drill pumps on Amazon for about $49.

Whats the best thing to use and where to get it?

    Thanks,

I use an electric siphon pump off eBay. I hook it up to a battery jumper pack and it sucks all the oil out while I'm having a beer. Easy!

Don't use the drill pumps.. they suck...

I use the west marine pump. It's a 6.5 quart model and I've done 100's of oil changes with it. I bought it for $55 on sale.

I have had the 12v auto one until the gear drive sh it itself. I know use the vacuum pump type as ed has posted up. You cant beat it plus it has so many other uses. Such as draining hulls and other hard to reach areas

I use the same. Less moving parts the better.

I use the 1 that ed has pics of.
It's a tall cylinder and its got a manual pump on top.
    It's easy and very effective..
