    Question 2008 RXP-X Buzzer Frenzy

I am experiencing a problem with my buzzer sounding off intermittently. I am not pulling any codes. I am not receiving any "Oil" lights/messages. I am not receiving any "Hi Temp" lights/messages. The buzzer will sound on the take off (slow or fast), during low speed ride, during high speed ride.

I have tried to troubleshoot this issue from my running knowledge as well as suggestions from a buddy. Have yet to examine for chafed wiring. Could wire chafe if protected by wire coils that seem to be in great shape?

If my memory serves me correctly, there was a problem with these buzzers at one time or another. Yes?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    RFactor

Could be a bad dess post.
While riding move the key on the dess post and see if it sounds off..

I'll be watching this cause I have the same problem. (08 X also)
And, when I put the dess on I get two chirps then one long beep every time.
    -no codes or lights.

I'll have it on a can-doo next week and report any findings.

I'll be ordering the CanDoo this week to make sure there are no codes that I'm missing. Will post findings. Will be watching for your updates as well.

    Thanks Steach.

If you can hold off till Sunday I would.
The last time I had this on can-doo I didn't find the solution. It may not be able to fix this issue.

    I'll post findings here.

Check your connections down the back of the ski for your vts etc. I had a similar issue once. It may also just be a faulty buzzer. Hope this helps!

    Update:

*Changed EGTS and CTS with brand new sensor.......problem still exist.
*Wotxxxsd suggested wiggling key on dess post while riding: problem seemed to respond (more) to this action. I purchased a new DESS post and will install this week. Will post results.

Side bar: I did hook the vessel up to the CanDoo system. I was able to pull 3 codes (can't list the actual codes because I left the paper with codes at the garage...sorry) that included:
    1) blah blah blah VTS (Noonz suggested that I check connections at VTS...if DESS post install doesn't fix the problem, this will be the next attempt as well as faulty buzzer as Noonz suggested)
    2) blah blah blah ECU broken/corroded output pins
    3) blah blah blah MPEM broken/corroded output pins

Being the case that I didn't have birth rights to mounds of money, I decided to take the path of least resistance and start with the least expensive resolve. I will continue to update this thread with my findings.

    Thanks guys for the input.
