Backfire 2000 XP
I have developed a midrange backfire. Any thoughts? It cleans up after it gets up to about 6200 or so

I was going to say, isn't that pretty much classic reeds wearing out. I forget the spec, but I think its in ben's thread. may also be on SBT's tech articles for 951 removal, I think.
**** YEP found it. http://www.shopsbt.com/pdfs/sd951.pdf
.015> gap between petal-to cage surface. If anything greater exists, replace reeds. step 5. Best of luck!

I will get this checked this week thanks! Will this also cause a lean surge on the trailer? I adjust the idle in the water (1450 or so) and the damn thing runs away on the trailer. Like a lean surge.

I did inspect the reeds and the one side was bad. Had a nasty gap. Replaced with carbon fiber.
