    leaking intercooler on 04' rxp

What are the running symptoms for a leaking inter cooler? I have a fizzle aftermarket on a 04 RXP. I imagine the symptoms would be the same regardless of which manufacturer.

For me it was/is 4-500 lower RPMs and reduced torque and speed...but unnoticeable in cold water/air. So, my classic symptoms would come and go with the seasons.

Drive your ski hard for an hour or more, then remove the IC -TB pipe and drive it to see if its shooting water out of that pipe. Also, you can remove your block off plug from your intake manifold and peek in there to see if there's any indication of water flowing/spraying through there.

Awesome blkturbo! I will try pulling the IC to throttle body hose tonite. Mine bogs intermittently when you pull the trigger and then will clean out and accelerate pretty well sometimes.

Fuel pressure gauge was showing 57 lbs, I upped it to 61 thinking it could be it. No significant change. If it was failing wouldn't it show on the gauge?

not unless you're watching it the entire time it's farting. Just something to keep in the back of your head.

Thanks,, Sorry for the double post

FYI: Mine always ran fine across the power band (no hiccups). My symptoms were limited to lower RPMs and speed unless I was in cold conditions - since the cold would compensate for the effects of the leak/water in the intake.

IT WAS THE INTERCOOLER!!!! HOORAY!!! HOORAY!!! What a relief. I pulled off the Fizzle and put on an old Riva. The Boat runs fine now. Bench tested the Fizzle with about 10lbs of pressure and could here it leaking between the cooling and the air flow area. Can the Fizzle be fixed? or is it scrap aluminum? Anybody?
