    virage vs freedom

Is there any difference in the motor, carb, or jet pump between the virage and freedom?

I think the freedom doesn't have the instrument cluster, reverse or mirrors but is the drive train the same?

I have a virage and realy like it, thinking about getting another ski to go with it.

    Cheers Scott

That pretty much sums it up. The Freedom is essentially an entry level Virage. It only had one motor option and that was the 700 twin. As long as you're talking about a Virage and not an i, tx, or txi then you would have the same 'drivetrain'.

Jet pump is slightly different, I think. The Virage (all versions?) has the stainless steel 6 vane stator jet pump, while the Freedom has the five vane aluminum stator.

Virage seat has rear storage, Freedom does not (going from memory).

    Does Freedom have mirrors?

Virage came in four versions, two were fuel injected, two have 1200 engines, one had 800 engine, one had 700cc engine.

My 2001 Virage has the aluminum Stator. A little chewed up I might add.

My '04 Virage i has an aluminum 5-vane stator as well. I think that was a 1200 tx/txi feature only. It does have an extended pump and the batwing plate though.

2000 virage had the early style ride plate,5 vane stator,no accl pump carb.only the 1200's had the 6 vane.i believe in 01 all virages had the batwing plate, but the twin motors still had the 5 vane stator.also after 00 all the twins had the single carb with the accl pump.kinda why i put the extra op plate and 6 vane on mine
