Introducing the new line-up of 2014 Yamaha Waverunners

The moment we have all been anticipating. I hope you enjoy the presentation as much as I enjoyed riding the new Yamaha SVHO FZ series skis.
Yamaha has completely hit it out of the park with a host of standard features that make this new ski the ultimate for the performance enthusiast.
It's clear that Yamaha had us, the Greenhulk.net community in mind when they set out to design the updated power plant. They have basically given us a huge head start on what we would buy anyway to built a super fast insane water rocket.

A quick run down of the vast improvements on the SVHO (Super Vortex High Output) skis are:
    • Forged pistons which are 30% stronger than the cast pistons they replace
    • The supercharger is upgraded and increases boost an astounding 60% over previous model years
    • The intercooler is larger providing for 25% more efficiency
    • Upgraded oil cooler provides for an astounding 110% increase in cooling efficiency
    • Larger fuel injectors with increased flow rate.
    • New race inspired 8 vein pump which uses a 160mm liner/impeller greatly increases thrust levels (pump is still 155mm)
    • New 3 degree exit nozzle with larger straightener vanes. 85mm exit diameter.
    • Newly designed top loader intake grate comes standard and increases pump output and efficiency.
    • Upgraded sponsons and ride plate combo similar to the designs used to win National and World racing titles.
    • Color matched Hydroturf mats come standard

Add all this up and it equates to a top contender in any venue. The SVHO engine has the largest displacement engine in the PWC industry giving it the best power to weight ratio of any competitor.

These changes are HUGE to me. Just think of the money saved for those guys that want to modify their skis. These guys are already thousands of dollars ahead of the game with a bone stock ski. Not having to go into the motor to change pistons is a huge plus.
Already having a 160mm liner/impeller is another huge step forward. Despite the pump being 155mm there are still tremendous benefits with it's 8 vane design.

Riding this ski was an absolute blast. The moment you pull the throttle you know something is different. Lots more power on tap and the thing carves turns like it's on rails. The top loader intake grate and 160mm impeller have drastically transformed the performance of this ski. Hole shot is incredible and the thing just won't come unhooked. We have been asking for this for years from Yamaha and they have finally given it to us. Thank you!!!!

No, they haven't changed the hull. I for one was happy to see this. The hull is fantastic as proved by many, some even exceeding 100 mph with the stock hull so why change it? They have however made the hull handle better, and safer with the newly designed ride plate and intake grate. If you notice the intake grate now has 4 mounting bolts on the rear of it. This increases strength tremendously which is vital for modified skis capable of achieving insane speeds.

This newly revised ride plate has a very familiar design to me. look familiar to you guys?

The new FX SVHO is not left out in the handling department. It too has been optimized with a newly designed top loader intake grate and ride plate.

All of the SVSHO skis utilize the newly designed 8 vane pump/160mm impeller setup. Notice the new pump cone has 4 mounting bolts.
Also new is the 3 degree 85mm nozzle. The nozzle has larger straightener vanes. Many of you are familiar with the nozzle used on the sport boats. Well, this is that nozzle. This is also the exact same nozzle that I had in development for the Lucky 13 pump

Let's look at some of the performance enhancements

Enough about the performance. Let's check out the visual improvements!!!
I love the new graphics and colors and having matching Hydroturf mats standard is a super nice feature.

I know what your thinking..... how much will all this performance and good looks cost me? Here you go!
