    Wedge Install Question

Just got my wedge from Richard (thanks!).
I'm going to take his advice and get two longer bolts
for the bottom part. Stock is 8mm X 35mm, and recommended
    is 8mm X 45mm? Right?

It may be obvious when I pull the nozzle, but does
the wedge with the raised flange side go towards the
front (motor)? And I assume thick part of wedge to
    the bottom? Right.

I've got to race some mean, bad ass, RXP's and GPR's
tomorrow on the river and don't want it to be backwards!!

Kawi used the longer 8x45mm bolts on both the top and bottom holes on the LX. The Ultra comes with four 8x35mm bolts, I would replace all of them with the 45's.

Cue, I am fixing to order 4 of the bolts. Is that the correct bolt which is a 8x125x45. I think the 125 is the pitch of the thread, is this correct. I am waiting to hear from you before I order them. I cannot find any here local.

You need stainless bolts, not regular. You will also need 4 stainless washers, as the stock washers will not come off

I got the bolts from BOW

I got the bolts 8mmX45mm from Boat Owners Warehouse
in Ft. Lauderdale. See if you have a good marine store near
you. They are stainless and I bought the washers too as
the previous poster is correct, the original washers won't come
    off the screw.

I was able to get regular shiny looking ones from Ace Hardware.
I bought these before I went to BOW as a backup in case they
    didn't have them.

The head on the ones I bought is a 13mm rather than 12mm on
    the originals.
