Question Does this pump strainer and cover plate fit FZR? Riva Part # RY1013-WS-40

Probably a dumb question, but isn't this the same strainer and cover plate Riva includes with their powercooler? It's listed under the GPR line. The reason I ask is I'm going to buy the R&D 18005 intercooler and have to piece together my own dedicated cooling line kit (R&D kit doesn't include a strainer). Thanks.

    RY1013-WS-40

Yes it is the same but u can also drill and tap the factory cover for a 1/4 npt to 1/2 inch barbed 90 degree elbow it will wok the same and be a lot cheaper

Do the same exact thing except the r&d uses two elbows instead of one

I was looking into doing this but the factory plate is thin and has an X across it. I would be able to do it directly in the center and if its off to the side a little bit, wouldn't it be too thin?

I just ordered the Riva from Jerry. The quality of it is nice and it includes a high flow strainer. I too was worried about how thin the stock cover is on my ski and I'm very risk adverse. The Riva high flow strainer & plate plus a 1/2" through hull fitting and a 1/2" bypass were ~$130. Now all I need is 1/2" hose and some clamps. It's really not all that expensive compared to the dedicated waterline kits sold.

Can't the gay pisser be used to feed water to the intercooler??

It's not nearly as much pressure as the pump strainer output.

Not a good Idea....R&D uses it to cool the oil cooler and exhaust manafold and part of the block

if you ran the piss out of it then went to idle......."no water from gay spray at idle" your intercooler would be heat soaked with little water going through
