300x drop pipe mod
just throwing it out there as i will be doing this in the near future
i realize this is on the 2013 model but im yet to get my hands on one
has anyone drilled out the lambda insertion area of the pre 2013 300x drop pipe threaded it and inserted a custom made bolt with a rod inserted across the collector manifold. as per the 2013 model this would stop the filter from entering the waterbox and possibly make it easy to visually check filter wear and tear with a camera. by carefully undoing the bolt you may feel the filter against it or when it does fail the loss in rpms with the filter contained might be an easy sign the filter has moved.

obviously doing something right, most just change out for precaution reasons.

I think pin is a good idea , But
Its only good if the filter comes out in 1 large piece...... if it falls apart into 3 pieces you can still end up with partially block WB and NOTHING on the pin .

correct waz but hopefully there maybe a sign when and if it does fail

Roughly 50 hours is all I get out of mine (the old style). They don't rust or block with carbon, they just pull away from the case and drop into the waterbox whole. Oddly, they actually look good, apart from them not staying attached that is.

late to party as always. why arent you guys pulling em out and using the spacer plate. the 250 and 260 seemed to do alright with out it. still the same engine really.
