    Carbon Seal Overhaul

What parts should I anticipate (ie. wear parts) for doing my carbon seal? Getting different info. Carbon seal and c-clips, but collar, drive shaft cap and bellows?
I am gonna install a SpeedFreeks Bellow Band when I do this.

    thanks Ed

Are you cavitating? normally the band is used for high boost applications but can also be used on stock ski for added safety, i will tell you this the band it a b1tch to put on but works as advertised.

ps:just get the kit band, c clip, carbon ring and collar and be done with it and not worry if any of the used parts will fail.

The band is easy to fit ...

Fold bellow boot into it self and feed band over and the boot will spring out ...

If you try to pull over , then good luck ...

I think you need to find out WHY you need to replace the carbon ring and the drive line components. I suggest you check the engine alignment with the pump. A lot of guys with S3/T3 hulls have found poor alignments from the factory. Many of us have moved the engine further aft, fixing the issue.

I have 130 hrs. rebuilding supercharger, with a 137x4 wheel. I have some cavitation out of the hole. I have installed the new R&D seal. I think the carbon seal might be lifting a little. I was gonna go through it and elimanate it for sure and add reliability with bellow band.

pushing high boost and rpm, 130 hrs on the factory seal is quite good. To get 130hrs your alignment must have been one of the good ones. Change it for sure tho
