    Motor mount replacement

Replacing all 4 motor mounts on 95 xp. Can I just replace em one at a time and use the same amount of shims per mount that are on that particular mount currently? Then align align it left to right with tool. Or will I have to shim from scratch?

You could do that but you would have to measure each mount out to make sure it is the same height. Also some people load mounts up to align the motor so i have seen aligning some motors. If you loosen the the main top nut watch to see if the mount shifts at all. Also when you loosen the bottom if the mount shifts. With the mount out put on the bench and measure it and change shims as needed. Using the alignment tool would be best but if your stuck. Im sure other people with more experience in this will chime in.

I saw somebody say that as long as the mount idnt broke from the hull that you just use the same number of shims on that mount so it had with the old mount. Hopefully it'll work out that way.
