I was going to do a few hull modifications on my 06 GPR.
Please advise if you think the plate/grate/sponsons is the best basic changes I can make.
Can you please suggest places to get them for the best price/value.
I know some of my posts are beginner like...but I am pretty much a beginner with this ski.

First, you can order all your needs from JERRYS ONLINE STORE...4TECHPERFORMANCE!! look to the link on the left of you screen!WITH THAT SAID... R&D plate with the modified surface's is your first best investment...along with a good tach and a gps (for tuning purposes).GRATE.. stay with the R&D brand,O/E has been proven unsafe at the speed the gprs are going now..SPONSONS.... are not as critical a change on your new skis as compaired to older skis... your's will need to be reposisioned according to what your are looking for... speed vs. handling/control...Once you get your plate and grate with a reliable tach and speedo/gps readings....spend your $$ in a upgrade'd impeller.. Talk to Carl at Island he can recomend one for you.Thats a start.....

mike i absolutely love the stock sponsons. want you want to do is take them off and grind some material out of the mounting holes on them. that way you can "step" your sponsons. front all the way up, back down.
get a 14/20 dynafly impeller
get an aftermarket intake grate. riva or r+d.
maybe give jim at jims performance a call or island racing for a rideplate
look in the yamaha tuner's section for contact info
and welcome to the forum beotch!!!!!!!!!!!!
