2012 RXPX 260 - Riva Fuel Pump Install Drama

Sometimes...I ask myself...Why Me? So I get done doing all the modifications to prepare for the fuel pump and the Riva Fuel Regular and the new fuel pump is longer than the old pump. I can't install the fuel pump cover without it deforming. Did I just get the wrong pump? Says for 2008 and newer.

It's probably just the pin on the bottom of the pump not lining up with the hole? The instructions have you mounting the pump to the top plate and then dropping it in. I was messing around trying to get it to line up and just pulled it back apart and dropped the pump in the base and then clipped the top on.
Make sure you trimmed enough off the top also so the plug can fit completely through. Looking at the photo it looks like you have not trimmed it enough? (Might still be clearing? Need a pic of the top with pump installed).

You have the correct pump. The Aeromotive pump is taller than the stock pump. That's why you are required to trim away material from the top. It can be a little tricky replacing the lower section. Take your time and ensure the fuel pump inlet is lined up with the filter outlet. It can take a couple of tries.

A few more pics now that it's installed; Only thing I had to do is bend the bracket back some. By the way, my ski all of a sudden starts on first click with the Athena and now idles better. Could be the high flow pump/regulator/new Deka Battery or all three. The only bummer is I installed one of these square pressure gauges http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=130 in place of the analog gauge and all I get is "1" on the display. I think the sending unit is bad. Nothing can be easy. Anyways the Riva kit is very easy to install once you figure out how to put the pump back in and very well designed. I'll have to take a picture of the little metal turd sea doo calls a pressure regulator.
