    Seized 2010 Seadoo RXP

I have a 2010 Seadoo RXP with only 35 hours that seized on me as I was bouncing on top of some waves doing about 35 mph. It literally just stopped as I was cruising along straight, with out even changing the throttle. My machine is totally stock and only serviced by my dealer -- just routine maintenance. It was working fine for two days. It was warmed up. It wasn't submerged. When I try to start it, it just makes a deep metal on metal clunk sound. When I lifted the seat there was no obvious problem. There was plenty of coolant and oil. The only beeper code signal I get is four short beeps, which just means that I left the key on its post without starting the engine. None of the warning lights are on. All the fuses are fine. Nothing is jammed in the impeller that I can see from underneath or behind. Does anyone have any ideas about what is wrong? Or how to proceed, besides just taking it to the dealer?

Pull the valve cover and see if you still have a timing chain down there.

Sc bearing let go prob. After you do that pull you're sc and inspect.

My RXT did that same thing and it was the SCer bearings let go and locked up the SCer that locks up the motor.

Is your flywheel on the correct way?

I would start by removing the pump, then pull intake tube to supercharger and see if that's seized

    +1 on s/c bearings.
Bouncing across the tops of waves at a steady throttle for a couple days will make the s/c bearing work over time..

Just another reason why people should rebuild there chargers every 2-3 years and not wait on a certain # of hours...
Your charger wheel is probably binding up on the charger cases. Pull your charger and I bet it cranks up.

Hell that's what I've been doing for 101 hrs on the 2010RXTX260 still going strong. Nothing like hammering it in the ocean until your arms about to fall off. But I am done riding it till I rebuild the SC. I recently broke my fuel door though...if that counts for anything . It was so brittle and I don't even keep my skis in the sun.

I seen a 2011 RXPX Last week in a BRP shop with the same complaint. Broken timing chain. it was disasembled on a table the timing chain had a broken link........ Pull the plugs and try to rotate. If it is still binded up? & the drive shaft is clear? I would bet a broken timing chain or engine?
