4 to 5 mph gains on Sea Doo RXP-X 260

Guys, I don't know if you have checked out Evan's thread but he's actually gained 5 mph with two mods. He has the gains well documented and backed up with Motec logs, etc. Have a look

These gains came for him with only two parts

Jim's ride plate conversion. This is a modification done to your existing ride plate

    Riva open loop cooling kit

Big thanks to Jim for coming up with such an awesome modification and big thanks to Evan for tweaking and tuning and documenting the process

Its been a fun week at the lake! My lake gets very rough during the day and even with this plate the ski retains the same handling and hookup in the chop as the stock plate. With trim up past the middle point you can really feel the ski come up out of the water. Full trim down the speedo will read 75 and trim up it will read 82. Awesome mod!

Are there any downsides to running open loop? I frequent salt water and have heard (rumors) that it will shorten the life of ski ( or at least cooling system)

Motec was installed before the plate which is why baseline speed was 75mph. The tune isnt that aggressive though. 37degrees timing with 8800 rev limit. The ski stock I believe was around 68

Nice gains! I might have to get a Jim's and open loop for my RXP. My RXP was bouncing like crazy today, had to trim almost all the way down from my normal N +1 setup
